Fall 4W is starting back soon!!!!!

I wanted to remind you/tell you about upcoming 4W women's events.

There are Bible Studies at 3 different days/times so there is a place for everyone. I hope if you are not involved that you will try to make it a priority to come! This is a great way to get plugged into our church and meet other women and be discipled!

Sunday afternoons meet from 4:30-5:45. Room 116 in the basement. Childcare is provided.
This begins Sept 11 and you will be doing a video series of various Passion speakers.

Monday night study begins Sept 12th.
5:30 - 8 in the parlor.
Childcare based upon request.
Dinner is provided.
"Spiritual Gifts" by Charles Stanley is the study.

Tuesday morning in the chapel - begins September 6th.
9-11. Childcare is provided.

4 studies:
"Boundaries with kids"
"Here and Now....There and Then" by Beth Moore
"Erasing Hell:What God said about eternity and the things we've made up" by Francis chan
A precept study of 1 peter.

ALSO - Ladies Night out is Thursday, Sept 1st. BUNCO in the Chapel 6-8

Spring Bible Studies begin the week of January 9th; Prayer Shawl Ministry will begin January 20th from 9:00-11:00 and will meet twice a month

a mentoring program will begin in the spring

Hi ladies, God has such a sense of humor! The weather has made it hard to get our Bible Study brochures mailed, so He has forced us to find other ways to get the word out. I think I am driving my family crazy cuz I've spent more time than usual at my computer, but I will say I have learned a few new tricks. Of course, I should always remember to ask for my son's help first. The other day, after I had spent quite awhile putting the Facebook logo on this blog, he said, "That's easy Mom, I could have shown you how to do that in a couple of minutes." Ha! I just had to laugh! I have learned, though, that we have some very talented people in our church's video department, cuz Dave sent me this You Tube link today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si98CxdbAbM It will show you what studies will begin next week. Take a look. Hopefully things will thaw out so that we can begin meeting again soon! Be safe and stay warm!

Reminder about closings

Our Bible studies are cancelled any time the Bentonville and/or Rogers Schools are closed.

New Bible Study Schedule

The new Women's Ministry brochure is supposed to go out this week, but just in case, I have put it on our FBC Women's Ministry website: http://www.fbcbentonville.org/templates/System/details.asp?id=25387&PID=112256
Our new classes are also listed to the right. Please note that our bible study schedule does not begin this week. There are 4 days to choose from: Monday night beginning next week on January 11th, Tuesday morning beginning January 12th, Sunday afternoon beginning January 17th and we have a Thursday night class too. Special note regarding our Thursday night class. This class has a limited enrollment so if a smaller group study environment interests you, please call the church office at 273-3379 for more details. Are you ready for the holidays?

Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away and Christmas is right after that! Help! What happened to this year? Seems like it has gone by so quickly! Sometime during the holidays, stop and think about some of the things that have happened. Was there a wedding or a birth in your family? A child go off to kindergarten....or college? The death of a loved one? Many of us have had major events. How did you get through it? Did you cling to Jesus? Did you get mad at God? How did you cope? Proverbs 3:5 comes to mind right away: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." We don't have to understand everything that comes our way, trust in Jesus and He will carry you through. Easy? Ha! Not always. Worth it? Absolutely!

Meet us in the Family Life Center for yummy muffins and a mug of hot coffee or tea (we will have juice for those who don't drink coffee or tea.)
